The Yorkshire Planetarium
Yorkshire Planetarium

Come and visit Yorkshire's first planetarium, a pair of linked geodesic domes which house two unique visual experiences. Step inside the Starchamber and explore the night sky. Be led around the constellations and the planets that can be seen from Yorkshire every night revealed in all its breathtaking glory, undimmed by light pollution.

From the sky at night follow the Bay tree walk into the Futuredome, a 3D theatre with wraparound screen showing planets within our Solar System, galaxies beyond our own and the creation of new stars all courtesy of digital technology and skilled animation.

And if deep space isn't enough, then take on The Rocket. A towering 8-metre climb with a thrilling slide to the base. It may not be science, but it's certainly fun.
